Who Is Frederic Parent?
Research Engineer, Product Performance Program and Leader of the Web and Roll Center, received his MEng from École Polytechnique de Montréal in 1997. Since joining FPInnovations (formerly Paprican) in 2000, his research activities have centered on paper runnability in the pressroom and on paper machines, and investigating how roll structure and web uniformity affects pressroom performance. His research activities led to the development of the Roll Testing Facility and more recently the Web and Roll Center. He is a member of the Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada (PAPTAC) and the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
